The melody is beautiful and the singing is gorgeous, but the result is a monotonous and tedious opera that you can't understand. When I visited Germany's Neuschwanstein Castle, I learned that it was built under the influence of "Lohengrin", and Kaiser Ludwig II was a big fan of the opera. The architecture and design of Neuschwanstein Castle were inspired by the epic scenes and characters depicted in Wagner's opera "Lohengrin". For example, some of the architectural elements of Neuschwanstein Castle--such as its tall towers and flower window glass--are similar to scenes in Lohengrin back then. When seeing the performance information sent by the Metropolitan Theatre, I found that they didn't book tickets?!
