Devil's Golf Course is one of my favorite sites in Death Valley. The only way to create such a beautiful scene is by nature. Devil's Golf Course got its name from a 1934 National Park Service guidebook that wrote, "Only the devil could play golf on this terrain," and this name has been used ever since. Laguna Lake was once part of Manly Lake, and it is believed that Manly Lake once reached depths greater than 600 feet.
