We decided to stay and watch the race. The weather was bad and the wind was strong, so even the commentator predicted that only 2 of the 30 boats would make it to the finish line. However, most boats finished successfully. The race was very joyful and everyone prepared water guns to nourish players; players also prepared water balloons in return. It was interesting to see boats in different shapes--some looked like Viking dragon boats, castles or four-wheel drive cars! Most surprising to me was that some paper boats carried 20 people!
