Le Jardinier, a restaurant in New York City, is the first place I've eaten at multiple times. I had lunch there and chose to add an extra side of salmon roe and an extra course. The menu is so adorable! I think those are leaves from a plant next to the menu. They smelled faintly of something good, but weren't too overpowering or filling. The food came out quickly, which was also a plus!
Single dish: Handmade bread, Maine sea urchin, topped with crème fraîche, citrus-yuzu vinaigrette, roasted cauliflower and crispy shallots--delicious! Fish: Seared Ahi with braised Swiss chard in ginger oil and smoked salmon roe. Dessert: Le Jardinier plant ice cream with passion fruit flavor!
