Another unusual morning, the first time to stay in a desert bubble house to watch the sunrise. Breakfast was simple but ordinary--rice, eggs and tea. What made this old Saudi woman's family unusual was that they were from Gaza, and I wondered whether to talk about Israel or hurt their feelings about Palestinians.
This trip was paid for with my only real money--silver dinars--and there was nothing else to be picky about: We were in the middle of Wadi Rum!
