Tahoe Sierra ❄️ Affordable Ski Resort with Great Value ⛷️
As a beginner skier girl, I have tried skiing at Heavenly and Boreal. After experiencing Sierra this week, I really feel like it's my favorite ski resort!
❄️ Overall, Heavenly has more big ski slopes but is relatively expensive ($199/person), and crowded. If you rent ski equipment after 10 am, you have to wait for about an hour. Even on the green slopes, it was quite steep for me, and as a beginner, I often fell down. Boreal's slopes are relatively flat and the single ticket price is cheaper (can be purchased in time periods, the cheapest is $69/person), but it's located in the north and far from the Bay Area, and the ski resort is smaller.
❄️ Sierra has more big ski slopes than Boreal, but it's not as crowded as Heavenly. When I went this week, there were plenty of ski equipment and no need to wait in line. The green slopes are also relatively gentle, very suitable for beginners to practice. It's located in the south of Tahoe and closer to the Bay Area. In the afternoon, there will be live music performances at the door. Many people go to enjoy beer, burgers, and the band after skiing.
