The gaming room at the G-Anime Winter Edition convention is like a game console museum! It's the biggest surprise of the convention this year! The organizers managed to gather a large collection of retro game consoles for everyone to enjoy.
They have almost all the famous game consoles in the history of video gaming. From the classic Sega Genesis (MD), Dreamcast (DC), PlayStation 2 (PS2), and Xbox, to the rare Neo-Geo by SNK, Atari 400, and even the Magnavox Odyssey 2, which was released back in 1978 and is from our parents' generation.
✨Let's take a closer look at some of the consoles at the convention:
🎈Magnavox Odyssey 2: This console was released in 1978, and it's amazing that it can still be played after 44 years. It's a rare gem and a true classic.
🎈SNK Neo-Geo: Released in 1990, this console had the performance of a large arcade machine and was priced at a whopping $649. It was considered a rare and niche console, with sales outside of Japan reaching only 180,000 units.
🎈Ouva: This Android-based console was released in 2012 and gained attention through online crowdfunding, but unfortunately didn't succeed in the market. It's a lesser-known console, known mainly among Western gamers and not many people were playing it at the convention.
🎈Japanese version of Nintendo FC: Commonly known as the "red and white" console, this Nintendo console was only released in Japan and had cartridges that were not compatible with the American version. Seeing this console in Canada is quite rare.
The gaming room at the convention is truly a paradise for game enthusiasts and a journey through the history of gaming consoles. Don't miss the opportunity to experience it!
