📍Los Angeles❄️ The Correct Way to Enjoy Winter: A Snowy Mountain Fairytale
❄️Several winter rains have draped the mountains east of Los Angeles in silver, beckoning us to ascend the mountains and play in the snow on a sunny winter day… Let's embark on a frosty excursion this New Year.
🍃Departing from Irvine on the weekend, you can reach the frosty world of Mountain High in just an hour and a half, traveling northeast through spring and autumn until you reach the winter blanketed in dazzling white snow. Traffic is smooth, mountain roads are clean and flat, and the stretch of pure white snowy mountains lift the spirits.
❄️Ascending through the small town of Wrightwood, you pass by Mountain High Resort and Yeti Snow Play. Winding mountain roads lined with forests perfect for snow play, be it snowball fights, building snowmen, playing with snow clamps, forest adventures, or snowboarding - any hillside by the road serves as a snow playground for adults and children alike.
❄️Following Angeles Crest Hwy further, we discovered this vast forest. Though located high in the mountains, it's surprisingly windless, with plenty of gentle slopes for children to play on with snow sleds.
🎈Beyond this, rest areas, barbecue areas, hiking zones, log cabins, and restrooms are all fully equipped. Further up the mountain, several scenic snowy trails await. Leisurely American families come prepared to play while barbecuing in the snow. From the cliff at the edge of the forest, you can enjoy layers upon layers of pristine white peaks - a relaxing stroll will let you take gorgeous photos of this winter wonderland, a sight too beautiful for words.
🍃During the afternoon return trip to LA, the one-way mountain road can get congested. After passing through the small town of Wrightwood, consider taking another path parallel to the 138 expressway, Lone Pine Canyon Rd, to descend the mountain. There are fewer cars here, and you can enjoy the scenery of the mountain under the setting sun.
❄️No need to go far for the snow season, come to Mountain High to experience the correct way to enjoy winter.
