✨ Touring
Suixi Confucius Culture City is one of the Four Famous Confucian Temples in China. Originally called Xuegong, it was built during the Southern Song Dynasty. After undergoing demolition and reconstruction, it has become a tourist attraction composed of two main areas: the cultural area and the entertainment area. The five main elements of "Confucius, ancient, stone, water, and green" are also the highlights of Confucius Culture City.
✨ Many people visit both Wen Chang Pavilion and Confucius Temple to pay respects. The red cloth strips hanging on the wish racks represent the wishes of the visitors. Most of the wishes at Wen Chang Pavilion are related to academic success. There are also bright lamps placed on both sides of the pavilion. To enter the pavilion, visitors are required to take off their shoes. The upper floors are temporarily closed due to structural issues.
✨ As you walk along the main road, you will occasionally see sentences from "The Analects of Confucius" engraved on stone tablets. Some of the characters carved are ancient Chinese characters, making them a bit difficult to understand in terms of font and content.
✨ The overall area of the scenic spot is quite large, and you can spend a whole day there if you want to see the night view. As the sun sets, any photo you take will turn out beautifully, thanks to the natural filter. The still water surface creates a perpetual reflection. The park looks even more beautiful at night when all the lights are on, especially at Wen Chang Pavilion, the columnar jointed rocks, the surrounding area of Confucius Temple, and the Yangzhi Pavilion on the hillside. The columnar jointed rocks have a resemblance to the scenes from "Spirited Away," giving it a unique charm. At first, I thought they were made by various lanterns, but upon closer observation, I realized how naive I was. If interested, you can also take a walk to the columnar jointed rocks, which gives a sense of adventurous exploration, especially at night.
⚠️ (Friendly reminder: Wear comfortable shoes, or you'll regret it.)
