Colorful Giant Rocks in the Desert!
Apart from the casinos and bustling shopping streets in Las Vegas, there is a magical and interesting attraction about a 20-minute drive away from the bustling city.
🌈Seven Magic Mountains, located about 20 miles south of Las Vegas, consists of seven rainbow-like stone pillars designed by Swiss designer Ugo Rondinone. On the way to the Vegas freeway, in the desert, there are a total of seven pillars made up of colored stones.
Standing in the desert, locally sourced giant rocks are painted with bright fluorescent colors, forming seven 30-35 foot tall rock formations that are even more bright and colorful in the desert!
Artist Rondinone has always been very interested in nature and art, and the inspiration for these seven colorful stones comes from nature!
✅Hoodoos, the unique rock pillars, and Balancing Rock are the result of Rondinone's five years of preparation – moving rocks, coloring them, and finally creating this colorful landscape in the vast desert. The boundless desert, the endless sky, and the sudden appearance of colors adorn the entire desert, making it a beautiful photo spot.
✅In fact, the true meaning of these colorful rocks is to express the balance between stability and collapse in the relationship between people and nature. These stones seem to resist gravity with their unstable balance, but at the same time, rely on the attraction to maintain their current state. Because of this feature, Rondinone's colorful rocks won one of the world's largest installation art awards in 2016 without wasting his efforts.
