📍Chiou House 18303 Colima Rd. Rowland Heights, CA 91748
I visited this place about two years ago, and this time it seemed like the portion sizes have shrunk? The menu is simple, and it mainly includes teppanyaki dishes, bento boxes, and fried items.
😋 Their signature Night Market Teppanyaki Steak is $25.9, and it comes with corn soup and tea. You can choose between black pepper and mushroom sauce. The corn soup is a bit too thin, and the tea doesn't have much flavor. The steak is served on a cow-shaped iron plate, sizzling when served. However, compared to my visit two years ago, the steak is noticeably thinner now!
😶 The Sausage and Chicken Roll Bento Box is $12.99, but unfortunately, the chicken rolls were not good, tasting mostly like flour. The sausages were good, though, and the accompanying three side dishes – corn, bean sprouts, and curry – were decent. The rice had some meat sauce on top, but it was a bit too dry. The lunch bento box comes with a cup of tea.
😋 We ordered one vegetable hot pot. The combination of oyster sauce and meat sauce was a bit too salty. It would have been better with soy sauce paste.
I've ordered their popcorn chicken and fried tofu before, and they were delicious! Worth trying! The meal for two people is around $50, and it's quite filling.
