Eating at Sunmerry Bakery in California 🍰
I love their taro milk, I come here every week and always get some bread on the side!
✅Mango Cheesecake ⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is a seasonal new product, I personally really like it. It's filled with cheese and jam, sweet and sour. There's also another new product, also fruit-based, it seems to be dragon fruit. It was not available when I last went, but to be honest, it wasn't good, it's long and filled with jam, I got sick of it after eating half.
✅Taro Waltz ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is the bread I get when I feel too embarrassed to just buy a drink. It's filled with taro, has a very thin skin, a treat for taro lovers.
✅Mochi Taro ⭐️⭐️⭐️
This one I feel is not much different from the Taro Waltz, besides the bread's skin texture, the taro filling is just as thick. This one is just a bit softer, doesn't have a distinct mochi texture, personally, I prefer the Waltz.
✅Taro (Red Bean) Cake ⭐️⭐️⭐️
These are their taro cakes, one with red beans and one without. Personally, I think the one without red beans is tastier, the cake is very soft, but the only downside is that the taro is not thick enough, it feels like if there was less water in the taro, the taste would stand out a bit more.
✅Taro Milk with Macchiato ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is my absolute favorite! The hot version is also great, but you can't add Macchiato to the hot version, so I always get the iced one. I love the pure fresh milk and taro combination. This way, there's no tea taste to overshadow my appreciation of the taro. The Macchiato is a bit rich though, so when I still have more than half a cup left, I mix it into the drink, can't handle licking it directly.
Overall, the bread at Sunmerry is pretty good!
