If you're planning a visit to Spain, Seville is a must-see destination! The colorful historic town square, Plaza de Espana, is definitely worth a separate visit.
In Seville, Spain, the Plaza de Espana is easily recognized as one of the most emblematic buildings, representing the revival of Spanish Moorish architecture. In 1929, Seville constructed the current "Spanish" square next to the Maria Luisa Park to exhibit Spain's industrial and technological products and to host the Ibero-American Exposition.
⛲️The square is semi-circular in shape, surrounded by a continuous line of buildings, and crossed by a moat leading to a large central fountain. On the walls of the square are numerous niches, each representing a province of Spain.
🎎Many people dance and perform at the square, and visitors can sit on the stone stairs to enjoy the performance.
⏰The square is free to enter before 3 p.m., but tickets are required afterward due to the performances taking place on site.
