Yesterday, I met up with a friend I hadn't seen in over six months. We decided to try a hot pot restaurant that I, being from the southern part of China, had never been to before.

This restaurant used electromagnetic stoves and copper pots, which I heard is becoming increasingly rare. However, the benefit of this is that the environment inside the restaurant can be cleaner and more tidy, and there is less lingering smell on your clothes after enjoying the hot pot.
Speaking of hot pot, the soup base is crucial! This restaurant offers a variety of unique soup bases, such as mutton spine, ma la (spicy and numbing), pork stomach chicken, and coconut chicken. We ultimately chose the pork stomach chicken and ma la combination. I truly fell in love with the pork stomach chicken soup base. It was a creamy white broth with large pieces of pork stomach and chicken, nourishing and delicious! It served as a perfect appetizer before diving into the hot pot. In addition to hot pot, they also offer deep-fried skewers. We tried the ham sausage, which was well-seasoned and tasty, although the selection was somewhat limited.
A little tip: I heard that they have live performances by talented singers every evening! We finished our meal around 8 o'clock, and the live singing hadn't started yet. So if you want to enjoy great food while listening to live music, it's best to come a bit later!
