Shannon Falls is a gentle waterfall, with its soft water flowing over the cold and hard granite cliffs. Every year, when the snow melts in the mountains, it seems to have a little more forcefulness in its gentle aura. The viewing point of Shannon Falls is at the lower end of the waterfall, where you can look up and see the curtain of water falling down the cliff like a woman's long, flowing hair and then disappearing into gurgling mountain streams.
Sitting by the creek, listening to the birds and insects chirping, and breathing in the fresh air are great ways to relax with your family. The park also has picnic tables that are perfect for outdoor lunches with kids.
