About a kilometer (0.6 miles) from Shannon Falls Provincial Park is Mount Tawooms Provincial Park. It's the second largest granite boulder in the world and is a world-class rock climbing destination. If you don't want to climb, follow hiking trails up to the summit for spectacular views of Howe Sound and the village of Squamish. There are multiple hiking trails leading down to three summits, and although they are steep, the views are endless and you can take in breathtaking views from any one of them--making it a very popular climbing and hiking destination.
