The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that babies should start to see a dentist after one year old (another heartbreaking history). Parents usually choose clinics within their health insurance coverage, mainly considering the medical environment, public reputation, and friends' recommendations 💥
🧡Max chose the Children’s Dental Specialist.
Upon arrival at the front desk at the appointment time, first-time visitors are required to fill in some basic information 📄
🎊Right at the entrance, a welcome board with the new little guest's name catches your eye.
🎈The reception staff are particularly enthusiastic and love chatting with the children, mainly to alleviate the tense atmosphere. At the beginning, this approach seemed to work, with Max facing the situation with a smile, like it was a children's day and his parents had brought him to an amusement park 🎪
🌈✨✨There are TVs playing cartoons, a children's play area, storybooks, toys, and crawling tunnels - it’s all about making your child completely relax during the waiting period. However, when the nurse started to guide us in, Max felt that the atmosphere was a bit off. He started being cautious, looking for his mom to hold him, refusing to sit down, not listening to anyone’s attempts to amuse him, and insisting on crying. Finally, when the dentist arrived, he started howling fiercely as if Mars was colliding with the Earth! The dentist requested one parent to hold the child with their head resting on the dentist's lap, checked the child's dental situation, applied a bit of toothpaste, and gave a quick swipe with the brush - the whole process took about 30 seconds at a super-fast pace. But even so, the little guy's face was still full of tears. Afterward, the dentist gave some tips to the parents, including how to brush the child's teeth, the best timing for brushing, avoiding feeding them with night milk, and suggesting to replace it with warm water. The dentist also noted to not use fluoride toothpaste at this stage.

On the whole, we were quite satisfied with this clinic. The environment was clean, and the doctors and nurses were kind, enthusiastic, and understanding ✨
