🏰 Xi'an City Wall Travel Guide
Xi'an City Wall is the largest and best-preserved ancient city wall in China, with a history of over 600 years.
The total length of the wall is 13.74 kilometers, and the ticket price is 54 yuan per person, with half price for children. It is recommended to purchase tickets on Meituan or through official WeChat accounts. The most popular entrance is Yongning Gate. Take Metro Line 2 to Yongning Gate D1 Northeast Exit or Beida Street (Anyuan Gate).
The ancient city wall of Xi'an includes a moat, drawbridges, main gates, arrow towers, sluice gates, corner towers, enemy towers, parapets, and battlements. There are a total of 18 city gates on the wall, with four main gates in the east, west, south, and north:
✔️ Changle Gate (East Gate), with Yongxing Fang located at the foot of the wall.
✔️ Yongning Gate (South Gate), well-preserved and popular among tourists.
✔️ Anding Gate (West Gate), offering views of Guangren Temple.
✔️ Anyuan Gate (North Gate).
There are bicycle rental points at each gate of the city wall. Keep the receipt as it can be used at any rental point. The rental fee is 45 yuan for a single bike for 3 hours or 90 yuan
