Last week, I went scallop digging with a friend on a boat and used a Walmart barbecue fork! It took us about an afternoon to find and dig the scallops, but we came home with a full house! Whether directly grilled or steamed with garlic vermicelli, these shellfish really taste great when eaten fresh from their own labor.
PS: The U.S. side of the catch must be in line with fishing and hunting regulations, so be sure to check before you act.

When digging scallops, choose the middle position between the tide and the shore. There is no need to wade, as wading is actually not easy to dig. My local uncle taught me, and then find those slightly higher places next to the small water pit. Digging along the water pit not only indicates that others have dug here, but also that water is easy to clean. Clams like slightly wetter sand layers, which are all piled up. After a few shovels, you can change them. If you find a good spot, you can dig half a bucket!
