🏔️ Shangri-La Tibetan Chieftain Feast 🏔️
In the magical land of Shangri-La, with its magnificent snow-capped mountains, pristine lakes, and unique Tibetan culture, the Tibetan Chieftain Feast is an unforgettable gastronomic experience! 🍽️
✨ Prelude to the Chieftain Feast ✨
The Chieftain Feast is a prominent feature of Shangri-La, and whether you're on a guided tour or traveling independently, you are likely to be recommended to attend a Chieftain Feast. The best Chieftain Feast in Shangri-La is held at Zaya Chieftain Manor, the first and largest chieftain manor in Shangri-La. With an area of 3000 square meters, it can accommodate over 1000 people. The dining environment is elegant and clean, retaining the traditional chieftain-style separate dining. The feast includes a hot pot with yak and beef, featuring delicacies such as yak fatty beef, hand-pulled yak meat, yak meatballs, raw yak meat sashimi, and more, with both meat and vegetarian options. There are numerous song and dance performances, and the evening concludes with a grand bonfire party!
The Chieftain Feast usually starts at around 18:30 and ends at around 21:30. It is a buffet-style meal where you can take as much as you want. Their beef and lamb dishes are particularly delicious, and the lamb hot pot is especially flavorful. They also provide a pot of local specialty green rice wine, which has an interesting taste and packs a punch. The entertainment program usually starts around 20:00, with staff dressed in their distinctive costumes performing dances and singing, along with various interactive activities.
If you visit Shangri-La and don't experience a Chieftain Feast, it's as if you haven't truly been to Shangri-La!
