The club lounge on the 9th floor of the Grand Hyatt Amman is a great place to have breakfast and see the view. The staff here are all Jordanian guys, unlike other hotels in Jordan which employ foreign waitresses who look like they're from Southeast Asia. When I talked to one of these waiters about what's interesting in Jordan, he didn't like natural places, but only night life of the city; he liked picking up girls and showing me photos of his previous Russian girlfriends (whom he met at clubs in Amman). He said that Russians can only work in clubs and that he takes care of them by arranging their accommodation and getting them jobs at night clubs--he said that newly arrived Russian girls usually come here with no money or place to live; they rely on male waiters like him to help them get through back doors into apartments where other Russian women already live together. The two girls who were supposed to be non-residents came for breakfast because they didn't have a door card; they relied on this male waiter to go through the back door so I guess they were also from Russia!
