On the way to Seda, passing through the town of Guanyin Bridge in Jinchuan, there is a Guanyin Temple. In the Tibetan region, this is a famous temple known as the "Second Potala Palace." The temple houses a four-armed Guanyin, said to be a stone-bodied bodhisattva. Many years ago, a farmer found a giant stone that resembled Guanyin in their field. They carved it into a Buddha statue and began worshipping it.
The Guanyin Temple is situated on a mountain in Guanyin Town. The mountain road is narrow and winding, so it is advisable for friends without good driving skills to take a ride with the locals.
The temple was built in the 7th century (Tang Dynasty) and has a history of over 1,400 years. It was destroyed by a fire in 1961 and restored in 1979. It is currently undergoing maintenance.
In the right hall of the temple, there is a four-armed Guanyin statue. The walls of the hall are adorned with intricate thangka paintings, resembling ancient murals with delicate lines.
Ascending from the left side of the main hall, there are several other large halls, where many painters are creating thangka artworks.
Moving forward, on the left side, there is a vast forest of prayer flags, creating a magnificent scene.
