🚗 Transportation: To reach Tashilhunpo Monastery, you can take bus 909 from downtown Xining, which will directly lead you there.
✈️ Xining Caojiabao Airport is approximately 60 kilometers away from Tashilhunpo Monastery, with a travel time of around 1 hour.
🚄 Xining Railway Station is about 33 kilometers away from Tashilhunpo Monastery, with a travel time of 45 minutes.

🌟 As the main birthplace of Tibetan Buddhism in northwest China, Tashilhunpo Monastery enjoys high prestige in China and Southeast Asia, and has been revered by successive dynasties.
🌺 Butter sculptures, murals, and embroidery are known as the "Three Treasures of Tashilhunpo Monastery." I am particularly fond of the embroidery, and all 18 exquisite works can be found here. If it weren't for the crowds, I could spend an entire day admiring these masterpieces!
When visiting Tashilhunpo Monastery, there are four must-see attractions: the Bodhi tree, the Grand Golden Pagoda, the temple, and the butter sculptures.
To fully comprehend the wonders inside the monastery, it is essential to hire a guide. Without one, everything will be incomprehensible. The guided tour lasts for an hour, followed by an hour of free exploration. The whole visit will take approximately two hours. Please note that photography is not permitted inside the buildings, so you can only take pictures outside.
Furthermore, please be aware that the makeup and costumes at the entrance (50 yuan for makeup and 20 yuan for costumes) are not allowed inside the temple. You can only take photos on the square in front of the temple. It's up to you to determine if it's worth the cost.
